Silent tear….

Follow your Bliss!!!

where can i buy topamax

The divine manifestation is ubiquitous,
Only our eyes are not open to it. . . .
Awe is what moves us forward. . . .
Live from your own center. . . .
The divine lives within you.
The separateness apparent in the world is secondary.
Beyond the world of opposites is an unseen,
but experienced, unity and identity in us all.
Today the planet is the only proper “in group.”
Participate joyfully in the sorrows of the world.
We cannot cure the world of sorrows,
but we can choose to live in joy.
You must return with the bliss and integrate it.
The return is seeing the radiance is everywhere.
The world is a match for us.
We are a match for the world.
The spirit is the bouquet of nature. .

Sanctify the place you are in

Follow your bliss. . . .

Welcome! Flying Horse Sense is Born!

I decided to combine my love for horses and wisdom sayings into a sacred place where  inspirational quotes, music, poetry,  affirmations, art, dance, spiritual quotes, photography, books, and prayers will inspire and provoke deep soul reflection and spiritual growth!

Our site is named ” Flying Horse Sense”  after Pegasus

The Winged Horse of Greek Mythology

(ancient Greek Πήγασος / Pegasos, Latin Pegasus)

Pegasus is one of the well-known mythological creatures in Greek myth, and assumes his share of fame and nobility beside the gods, and heroes of myth and legend.

In Greek mythology, Pegasus is a winged lightning creature fathered by Poseidon, god of the sea, and Medusa, a mortal, and priestess of Athena’s temple. Poseidon was captivated by the great beauty of Medusa, and the couple foolishly consummated their love in the sacred Temple of Athena, the goddess of war, and strategy.

Pegasus was also a friend to the nine Muses, and was instructed by Zeus to transport lightning and thunder from Mount Olympus.

Symbolism of Pegasus

The symbols of Pegasus varies throughout time. This horse-god was associated with power, flight, speed, glory, loyalty, bravery, courage, wealth, wisdom, knowledge, poetry, creative sources that inspired writers, and poets, pottery, solar myths, and spiritual energy that allowed access to the realm of the gods on Mount Olympus.

This site is dedicated to my dad, Othon George  Mantzavinos, a great, virtuous, honest, and principled man who taught me to follow my heart, to be honest no matter what the consequences.

He earned his living by working an honest, plain and simple life.

He was  an embodiment of purity and truthfulness.

I also discovered that he was a very compassionate and kind person and  that the most important thing that he had was us, his family.

Though he may never have said it out loud I know that he truly loved us

and was very proud of what we have become.

We are who we are now because we had a father like him.

He was very strict as a father but that’s only because he cared for us. To his friends he was a very kind person and was always ready to help. He always had a solution to every problem and had his ways of making things simple. He never asked anybody for help but he was a very generous philanthropic, compassionate man, and he never wanted to be acknowledged for anything he did.

When he helped he simply helped.

My father,  never broke his promise once , he stayed true to his word, he did what he said. He never stooped to any meanness or evil. He never liked false  flattery,  he stuck to his  principles  with whatever challenge would come his way.

He was a safe custodian of truth and justice.

He showed strength until the end and still had some enlightening words for me. I made some huge changes to my life and I owe it to my father’s encouragement, strength and tough love advice…

See Dad… I listened….it just took me a while…:)

I miss him and his amazing, wicked  sense of humor!

I am honored and humbled to be one of his daughters!!

The Haunted Palace – Edgar Allen Poe

In the greenest of our valleys

By good angels tenanted,

Once a fair and stately palace –

Radiant palace – reared its head.

In the monarch Thought’s dominion –

It stood there!

Never seraph spread a pinion

Over fabric half so fair!

Banners yellow, glorious, golden,

On its roof did float and flow,

(This – all this – was in the olden

Time long ago,)

And every gentle air that dallied,

In that sweet day,

Along the ramparts plumed and pallid,

A wingèd odor went away.  Wanderers in that happy valley,

Through two luminous windows, saw

Spirits moving musically,

To a lute’s well-tunèd law,

Round about a throne where, sitting

In state his glory well befitting,

The ruler of the realm was seen.  And all with pearl and ruby glowing

Was the fair palace-door,

Through which came flowing, flowing, flowing,

And sparkling evermore,

A troop of Echoes, whose sweet duty

Was but to sing,

In voices of surpassing beauty,

The wit and wisdom of their king.  But evil things, in robes of sorrow,

Assailed the monarch’s high estate.

(Ah, let us mourn! – for never morrow

Shall dawn upon him desolate!)

And round about his home, the glory

That blushed and bloomed

Is but dim-remembered story

Of the old time entombed.  And travellers now, within that valley,

Through the red-litten windows see

Vast forms, that move fantastically

To a discordant melody,

While, like a ghastly rapid river,

Through the pale door

A hideous throng rush out forever

And laugh – but smile no more.

Advice on How To Sleep on Halloween Night

The thing to remember, when you go to bed
Is hang strings of garlic, high over your head,
So werewolves and vampires won’t come to call. In fact, You won’t get many callers at all
‘Cause garlic is smelly. Besides, its success with magical creatures
Who visit distress on humans who read scary stories at night,
And sleep in their bedrooms, without a night-light. The thing to remember, when you go to bed
Is putting a cross, at your foot and your head,
‘Cause witches and vampire bats are religious
And touching a sign like a cross gives them hideous
Goosebumps and warts,
Hives, the welts and the itches,
Which nobody likes, even vampire bats and witches.
But try not to toss or to turn in your bed.
If you kick off the crosses you’re gonna wake the dead.
The thing to remember, when you go to bed
Is watch out for goblins, who’ll munch on your head.
What stops them is water, so ask for a glass,
Then pour it around, so the goblins can’t pass.
Or else make a run
for the bathroom and turn on the hot and cold faucets
and watch goblins squirm.
As a last chance,
since goblins all fear running streams,
If you don’t own a bathroom, dream water-filled dreams. So, that’s my advice.
Now, just turn off the light.
Hope you sleep well the next Halloween Night!

Butterflies….If anyone desires a wish to come true …………

On The Wings Of HopeAs an ancient legend goes;
If anyone desires a wish to come true,
they must capture a butterfly and whisper that wish to it.

Since butterflies make no sound,
They can’t tell that wish to anyone but the Great Spirit.

So by making the wish and releasing the butterfly,
It will be taken to the heavens and be granted.

Although this legend implies that we should keep our wishes silent,
there are some wishes that need to be expressed out loud.

To those that have been touched by the disease we are helping to fight today,

We wish the caregivers strength and tranquility,
and thank them for their gifted labor of love.

We wish the survivors a long and happy life,
and thank them for showing us how to fight with courage and determination.

We wish those currently fighting the battle energy and hope,
and thank them for showing us what true bravery is all about.

And finally, we wish the victims peace and love,
and thank them for the joy and happiness they brought to us.

With this symbolic gesture, we honor those that have left us and encourage
those left behind to continue the fight “On the Wings of Hope”.

Prayer (from the Navajo healing ceremony called Night Chant)

House made of dawn.
House made of evening light.
House made of the dark cloud.
House made of male rain.
House made of dark mist.
House made of female rain.
House made of pollen.
House made of grasshoppers.
Dark cloud is at the door.
The trail out of it is dark cloud.
The zigzag lightning stands high upon it.
Male deity!
Your offering I make.
I have prepared a smoke for you.
Restore my feet for me.
Restore my legs for me.
Restore my body for me.
Restore my mind for me.
This very day take out your spell for me.
Your spell remove for me.
You have taken it away for me.
Far off it has gone.
Happily I recover.
Happily my interior becomes cool.
Happily I go forth.
My interior feeling cool, may I walk.
No longer sore, may I walk.
Impervious to pain, may I walk.
With lively feeling may I walk.
As it used to be long ago, may I walk.
Happily may I walk.
Happily, with abundant dark clouds, may I walk.
Happily, with abundant showers, may I walk.
Happily, with abundant plants, may I walk.
Happily, on a trail of pollen, may I walk.
Happily may I walk.
Being as it used to be long ago, may I walk.
May it be beautiful before me
May it be beautiful behind me.
May it be beautiful below me.
May it be beautiful above me.
With it be beautiful all around me.
In beauty it is finished.
